I was AI Technical Manager at NEXCOM International 新漢（stock code: 8234）. I was Senior Technical Manager of GCP data at TPIsoftware. I was founder and CEO of AI4quant (AI startup). The startup was about providing AI solution for other business. The company AI4quant (艾泉資訊) won the award of best technical development(最佳技術開發獎) from 經濟部工業局. Why did I start my own business? I was a senior software engineer at Trend Micro. Our team developed strong data pipeline to connect different data sources from various consumer products, and the data flows to the data lake. It includes traditional data center Hadoop and modern cloud AWS EMR. The system is for business needs. I was responsible for architecture design and DevOps some of the subsystems. I was a full-stack engineer to do backend and frontend stuff.

I was an analytics platform developer at eBay. Our architect team set up software and hardware to move big data across different analytics platforms (between Hadoop and Teradata, and cross data centers). On Hadoop, there are so many different file types, compression types, and delimiter choices. Our tool can help users transform and move data more easily.

Before joining eBay, I worked at Composite Software. We built data discovery tool to find out data relationship through indexing and profiling. Our tool can analyze different kinds of DBMS, such as Oracle, MySQL, DB2, MSSQL, and Teradata. Composite Software was acquired by Cisco Systems Inc. in 2013.

I got my PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue in 2010. My research topic was about novel techniques to increase classification accuracy in machine learning. It's done through bagging, boosting, feature selection, and parallel computing.
